Features:
- Replacement UMD media detection sensor for PSP.
- Compatible with PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 & E1000 consoles.
- Fixes issues with UMD not being found when inserted.
- Console must be opened to install (opening tools not included)
- Requires console disassembly and soldering to install.
Description:
This replacement switch can repair issues with UMD discs not being detected by a PSP console.
If your console does not display the UMD on the system menu when inserted, then the media detection switch is likely to be faulty.
A faulty switch fails to signal to the console that media is present in the drive and ready to play, replacing the switch with this compatible replacement will normally resolve such issues and ensure that the console knows there is a UMD to read and load.
It matches the design of the original SMD type switch with four securing legs needing to be soldered to the consoles mainboard.
The part is compatible with Sony PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 and E1000 series consoles.
Requires technical fitting to install including soldering, please consult an expert if unsure.
