Retro Fighters
Retro Fighters is a family owned video game accessory manufacturer comprised of industry veterans dedicated to producing exciting, cutting edge products targeted exclusively for the retro video game market.
Out of the love for retro video games and the frustration and limitations that came with playing with the original classic controllers, an idea was born to create next generation controllers for the retro gaming community that would be modern and beautiful in form and function.
The first next generation controller was for the original Nintendo console, PC & Mac. Once a prototype was in hand a KickStarter campaign was launched to gauge community interest. Unfortunately, due to the limited reach Retro Fighters had with the retro gaming community as a new venture, the funding was unsuccessful.
In August 2015 Retro Fighters was born! Private funding was secured to continue development, the Retro Fighters company was formed along with the retrofighters.com website in July 2016.
The Retro Fighters NES Controller “JAB” Gamepad was the first product released by the brand in September 2016. Since then Retro Fighters have created several controllers from the ground up such as their popular Brawler for N64 and more recently the StrikerDC for Sega Dreamcast.
The latest controller to be released by the team at Retro Fighters is the Hunter for Original Xbox, a modern take on the 2001 Microsoft controller offering a bend of old and new elements, to take your retro gaming into 2024 and beyond.
