Features:

- Drop in IPS LCD screen for Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP consoles.
- No shell cutting, does not require IPS ready shell
- Brightness, colour and display mode touch sensors built in
- 3.00" screen size with traditional Advance SP logo on glass
- Optional single wire to solder for OSD menu controls.

Description:

This drop in IPS screen upgrade from Hispeedido gives you a bright and vibrant display upgrade, without any need for modifications, special housing shells, or soldering tools.

Fitting this IPS screen kit is super simple, there is no PCBS to attach, no ribbon additional ribbon cables, no touch sensors to mount, no screen lens to align, it is a drop in plug and play upgrade.

The IPS screen includes the LCD panel with laminated screen lens and ribbon cable all as one single unit, and that is it, you can choose to install a single wire included with the screen to allow you to control the brightness from the original button on the console and access an OSD menu, but this is completely optional and not required.

This upgrade will drop straight into most shells, cutting of a regular shell is not required, and an IPS ready shell is not needed.

The screen upgrade supports 15 levels of brightness, 8 different colour modes and 4 display modes, default display mode, retro pixel effect and 2 scan line effects.

NOTE: You should bench test the screen before installation to check for any issues, this helps us to support your warranty, you should leave the adhesive backing and protective film on the product until you are satisfied it is working correctly and there are no pixel faults etc, if you discover any faults please send a picture of the bench test to support@zedlabz.com for assistance.

How to use the touch sensors:

- Tap the right sensor to cycle the brightness levels.
- Press and hold the right sensor to cycle the 8 colour modes
- Press and hold the left sensor to cycle pixel effect modes.

Installing the soldered wire is optional (single wire from the LCD ribbon to Q12B), if fitted this will allow brightness control from the original brightness button and provide access to an OSD menu.

Other items needed which are not included:  Basic tools to open the game boy and fit this screen, soldering iron (optional), non of these items are included.

Please note that the LCD screen and ribbon cable require care to install and are fragile in nature, they are also more susceptible to damage once installed if the console is dropped, LCD screens can crack under pressure or with a impact, our warranty does not cover accidental / user damage of any components in this kit. Replacement parts will be available to purchase separately in the near future.

Easy peasy

Very easy and massive transformation. Top tip: Make sure you screw the battery door on temporarily when putting shell back together to ensure the little metal cube for the door screw doesn't end up rattling around when your finished.

Perfect, and a good price. If any complaints, it would be that there’s a slight brightness in the corners of the screen but that may be something that is my fault, but it’s so unnoticeable that it’s no big deal

I liked that it was a simple drop in solution. The screen came well packaged and protected with no faults.

What I disliked was that the solder gave little instructions (luckily, the internet was helpful). It was a tad thicker so fitting it in a new case is a bit of a squeeze. The colour, well that’s on me, but it was hard to tell what true shade of red it was.

But overall, I love it. I really do. It’s bright, easy to use and looks phenomenal.
