- YLOD NEC Tokin repair PCB by RIP-Felix - Ready to install solution for NEC Token - ENIG 0.8mm thickness PCB - Included 3 x 7343 tantalum pre-soldered. - Requires advanced soldering
Description:
NOTE: Removal of NEC Token caps and repairing YLOD issues is an advanced repair, requiring detailed soldering and electronics experience, you should only attempt to use this product if you are a qualified electronics engineer or extremely competent in soldering work.
This is a populated PCB to assist in the replacement of the NEC/TOKIN bulk filter capacitors on some model PlayStation 3 consoles, PCB designed by RIP-Felix.
Each PCB combined with the three 7343 tantalum will replace one NEC Token cap.
This pcb also allows the addition of up to six 0805 Multi Layered Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC) in parallel (not included)
The addition six ceramic capacitors are optional and noted by RIP-Felix as probably being overkill, primarily this PCB is to make it easier to install 3 470uf tantalum or aluminum caps into a PS3 to replace faulty NEC Token.
2mm height capacitors or shorter must be used, this ensures it'll fit underneath the RF shield when you reassemble the console.
The 3 larger cap locations on the PCB are for 7343 (7.3 x 4.3 x 1.9mm, LxWxH), the PCB has three Panasonic 2R5TPE470M7 tantalum caps included and pre-soldered to the board.
Thanks goes to RIP-Felix for all of the research and also the design of the Tantalizer PCB.
Smaller ceramic caps are not included or fitted as these are optional, if you want to fit them you will need:
