UNIVERSAL COMPONENT VIDEO TRANSCODER WITH SCANLINER
GARO is a multi purpose, universal component video converter for your favorite consoles. It takes Component (YPbPr) video signal, and outputs VGA (RGBHV) and Scart (RGBS)video without compromising video quality. It's a 1:1 transcoder, not an upscaler, so it outputs what it's fed, from 480p to 1080p. It's designed for the consoles with component video output capability like the original XBOX, XBOX360, PS2, PS3, GC and WII. So you can now play these consoles on your VGA monitor or TV.
However what makes the GARO unique is its Scanliner function. GARO can add scanlines to the image, this is a great feature if you are playing retro games on these modern consoles. You can also adjust the thickness of scanlines or choose odd or even scanlines too. GARO can output RGBHV via its VGA connector and RGBS via its Euro Scart connector.

Scanliner function adds scanlines to the video. It’s possible to turn off scanlines easily with a switch, you can also select Even or Odd scanlines or you can change the width of the scanlines. requires a power source, there are 2 options,

*Although 480i/576i component video is supported by the GARO, most PC displays / monitors may not handle it. Typically, only 480p, 576p, 720p, and 1080i/1080p are within the displayable range of these monitors.
