The cartridge shell is a little bit taller than an official GBA cartridge shell. While an official GBA cartrdige shell slots in seamlessly in the cartridge tray, this one stands out just a little bit. Not all of the three shells stand out the same amount. Two of them are a bit tilted while one of them seems to be even. We're talking about very small margins here so not even a millimetre / tenths of an inch. But as they are usually seamless, it is noticable when inserted.
The game I put in the shell as a test, Mario Kart Super Circuit, actually fit absolutely fine and when inserting in the console everything was working without any problems.
The only other thing that wasn't ideal was the screw. When screwing it down, at the end it was still standing out a little bit. Then I tried the screw from the official GBA cartridge shell of Mario Kart and it was very difficult to screw down but it worked. Afterwards I tried again with the supplied screw and now I was able to screw it down seamlessly.
Summary:
- Shell stands out a little bit as it is just a very little bit too tall, but everything works fine.
- Tightening the scew was difficult, but in the end it worked.
