This is a transflective polarizer film, ideal for a Game Boy Light which uses such a film within it's backlit screen. This type of refurbishment is a little tricky and requires some patience and time to replace the film, once done you can expect the screen to look extremely close to the original OEM look.
Transflective polarizer film is a linear polarizer with a silver transflector (semi-reflector) sheet on the back side.
It is usually used to adhere at the back of LCD screen with light source from the back, like a backlit Game Boy Light console.
When you remove the protective release film, you will find the adhesive glue on the front side of polarizer sheet.
Backlit panels generate light from the side or back of the LCD display. Its purpose is to increase the illumination in low-light environments and the brightness on the monitor screen. It can not only let the back light penetrate through the LCD screen, but also reflect the natural sunlight to make you see clearly on your LCD screen.

3Dlens have passed the transflective polarizer test with temperature, heat, moisture, light and cold resistance.
We provide two pieces cut from a larger sheet, each piece we provide in the pack is 70mm x 67mm approximate, larger than the original screen to allow for rotating the film to find the angle of best performance, which is something around 30 degrees. The material can be easily cut with scissors or a guillotine once you have established the preferred angle that you want. The polariszing film has protective film on each side so you are able to mark the film with a soft pen when planning where to cut it, there are also two pieces in the pack so you have a backup if the first does not go to plan.
There is protective film on both the front and back of these replacement polarising films, ensure that you remove both sides before installation, making sure you work in a clean environment free from dust and debris as far as is possible.
