The PS4 Camera (CUH-ZEY1 v1 and CUH-ZEY2 v2) anchors PSVR tracking and supports streaming, party-chat features and a handful of camera-led games. PlayStation Move controllers add motion to the front of the stack and remain widely used for PSVR titles. We stock cameras, Move controllers, charging cables and replacement parts for both.
Quick picks by use case
- If you're setting up PSVR: the camera is mandatory. The v2 is the slimmer revision; both work with PSVR. PS Move controllers are required for many VR titles.
- If you stream: the PS4 Camera offers a basic PiP webcam feed for Twitch / YouTube broadcasts straight from the console.
- If you have Move controllers gathering dust: a fresh charging cable or replacement charging dock typically brings them back into rotation.

PS4 camera and motion sensors. FAQs
Do I need the PS4 Camera for PSVR?
Yes for the original PSVR, the headset and Move controllers track via the PS4 Camera. Both v1 (CUH-ZEY1) and v2 (CUH-ZEY2) work; the v2 is physically smaller and slightly easier to mount.
Will the PS4 Camera work on PS5?
For original PSVR titles played on PS5, yes. Sony provides a free PS5 Camera Adapter that lets the PS4 Camera connect to the PS5 for backwards compatibility. The PS5's own HD Camera does not work with original PSVR.
Can PS3 Move controllers work on PS4?
Yes. The PS Move controller is largely unchanged across PS3 and PS4 generations, the same controller pairs with both consoles. They charge over standard mini-USB, and most replacement parts cross over.
Why is my PS4 Camera not detecting movement properly?
Common causes: ambient light too bright or too dim, reflective surfaces in the room, the camera mounted at the wrong height (chest-level facing forward typically works best), or a worn USB connector on the camera cable. The console's PSVR setup wizard typically pinpoints the issue.
