The Nintendo Switch is the current-generation flagship and the platform with the highest single-fix demand in retro modding right now: Joy-Con stick drift. ZedLabz stocks Hall Effect drift-resistant Joy-Con stick modules from Ginfull and the ZedLabz range, replacement Joy-Con parts, accessories for original and OLED Switch, plus cases, screen protectors and charging cables.
Quick picks for any Switch owner
- The most-demanded fix: the ZedLabz Hall Effect Joy-Con stick 2-pack, drift-resistant magnetic-sensor sticks that replace the original potentiometer modules. The most common Switch repair customers come to us for.
- The everyday accessory bundle: EVA carry case, tempered-glass screen protector and a fresh USB-C charging cable, the kit most Switch owners eventually need.
- The pro choice: Hall Effect Joy-Con sticks, fresh Joy-Con shells, replacement triggers and rails, plus Hall Effect modules where compatible, a full Joy-Con refresh.
The Switch repair ladder
- Joy-Con drift fix (Hall Effect sticks): the most-demanded Switch repair. Hall Effect sticks use magnetic sensors instead of contact-based potentiometers, avoiding the contact-wear mechanism that causes drift on the original modules. Install requires opening the Joy-Con and a tri-point Y00 screwdriver.
- Screen protector + case: protects the original or OLED panel and the unit from drops. No tools needed.
- Charging cable replacement: USB-C cables wear from repeated dock seating; a fresh cable is plug-and-play.
- Joy-Con shell + rail replacement: for cosmetic refurb or worn rails. Phillips screws and Y00 internal screws.
- Pro Controller / third-party drift-fix: see our wider controller range for compatible drift-resistant modules.

Nintendo Switch. FAQs
What causes Joy-Con drift?
The original Joy-Con analog sticks use contact-based potentiometers that wear over time. The wear creates false input signals (drift) where the stick reports movement even when it's centered. Hall Effect replacement sticks use a magnetic sensor instead of physical contacts, so there's no wear surface to degrade. This is why Hall Effect sticks are the go-to drift fix.
Are Hall Effect Joy-Con sticks plug and play?
The ZedLabz Hall Effect Joy-Con stick is designed as a direct replacement for the original module, no soldering required. You open the Joy-Con with a tri-point Y00 screwdriver, lift out the original stick module, plug in the Hall Effect module via the existing ribbon connector, screw the Joy-Con back together. Most first-time installers get one Joy-Con done in 20 to 40 minutes.
Will Hall Effect sticks fit Switch OLED Joy-Con and Switch Lite?
The Joy-Con form factor is shared across original Switch and Switch OLED, so Joy-Con Hall Effect modules fit both. Switch Lite uses an integrated stick module that's similar but not identical, check the product page compatibility section to confirm the variant you need.
Do Hall Effect sticks need calibration?
After installing, run the standard Switch stick calibration from System Settings, Controllers and Sensors, Calibrate Control Sticks. Hall Effect modules typically calibrate to the same range as the original sticks, no special firmware setup required.
What tools do I need for a Joy-Con stick swap?
A tri-point Y00 screwdriver (the only non-standard tool, used on every Joy-Con screw), a Phillips PH00 (internal frame screws), a plastic pry tool to lift the back cover, and tweezers for ribbon cables. See our modding tools for kits.
